Cosmic's toolchain for the Cortex family (M0, M0+, M3, M4 and M7) is part of a complete and uniform product line incorporating over 25 years of innovative design and development. All Cosmic products include one year of technical support and updates.

    All Cosmic C Cross Compilers for Windows include IDEA - Cosmic's own integrated development environment which is preconfigured for the Cortex family of processors. IDEA is designed specifically for developing embedded applications with Cosmic compilers. IDEA integrates an editor, project manager, graphical smart build/make facility, program analyzer, link file generator, documentation manager and ZAP debugger into one easy to use environment running on Windows 7, XP and compatible.

    Compiler

    The C Compiler package includes: an integrated development environment with optimizing ANSI-C cross compiler, macro assembler, linker, librarian, hex file generator, object format converters, debugging support utilities, run-time library source code, and a multi-pass compiler command driver. The compiler also supports non-intrusive C source-level debugging with Cosmic's line of ZAP debuggers.

EUROS Embedded Systems GmbH (EUROS) is a pioneering vendor of real-time operating systems (RTOS), protocol stacks, middleware and development systems for embedded applications. The company's products are widely used and supported in all segments of the embedded ecosystem, including medical technology, military & aerospace, test & measurement, industrial automation, process control, automotive and traffic engineering.

Dr. Stefan Kaneff is the founder and CEO of EUROS. As an employee of Siemens (Ottobrunn, near Munich) in the 1970s, he was a developer of the first Siemens RTOS for the Intel 8080/8085. A version then followed for the x86 processor family. Currently this system, known as RMOS, operates many devices of Siemens and its customers. Dr. Kaneff was on the staff of a US specialist in RTOSes from 1983 to 1987. There he was part of the team that developed the MTOS/UX RTOS.

EUROS's HQ is in Nuremburg. A second office, EUROS Bulgaria Ltd., is in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. EUROS's continued growth has been enhanced substantially by its many partnerships with universities in Germany and other countries.

EUROS, with its comprehensive product portfolio, can provide all the components needed for an embedded system: RTOS, middleware, protocol stacks, peripheral drivers, development systems. All parts are provided and supported by EUROS. Moreover, technical support from dedicated contact persons is part of the package; you can always depend on EUROS. Brief descriptions of some of the major EUROS components are given below.

  • EUROS The EUROS operating system is named after the company that developed it. Although the names of the operating system and the company are the same, the context always leads the reader in the right direction. EUROS is the flagship of an entire family of real-time operating systems. All are compact, versatile, customizable, portable, and future-proof. See below for short descriptions and links to the others.
  • EUROSmp is an adaptable multi-processor RTOS that can be used in several modes: tightly coupled, distributed, and mixed (tightly-coupled plus distributed).
  • EUROSmot is an RTOS that is especially designed for automotive applications. It is a static system that supports the OSEK API and various conformance classes.
  • EUROStime is a time-triggered RTOS, in which the primary scheduling method depends on reaching a specific time in a table of times. EUROStime adheres to the OSEKtime API.
  • EUROScope is an extremely powerful source-level debugger for embedded systems. It is portable and can be attached to the target via a variety of ways, including TCP/IP, CAN, BDM and JTAG links. EUROScope has bootloader facilities for downloading executable images to the processor flash of the system board.
  • EUROSkit is an integrated development environment (IDE) that is exceptionally suited for application development in the EUROS environment. An integrated application assistant creates a framework for a EUROS application in no time at all. The application assistant is very convenient to use as a project management tool and it helps to organize projects quickly and with great clarity.
  • EUROS Embedded Studio® is a very powerful C/C++ development environment based on Eclipse. It allows an individual, application-specific and fully automatic configuration of the system software and offers a range of additional development tools - such as graphical components configurator, real-time tracing, static code analysis, code coverage, RTOS-awareness, etc., which significantly support and facilitate the development of embedded applications.
